I was about 28 when I wrote this...7 years past my plan for love and marriage, but God's timing is so much better than anything I could dream up as I'm being reminded often these days.
"Not Yet"
The One who made my heart
Knows me as no one ever will
He knows my deepest longings
Yet He's asked me to be still
I lay this yearning down
At the foot of His cross and pray
For the patience to wait for The One
And see this dream come to fruition one day
I've prayed and waited for you all my life
And I know you will be worth the wait
He promised that you would be
And His timing is never too late
