It's Good to Wait

This article was sweet refreshment for my heart. A highlight for me was when the author noted the redemptive nature of waiting (something I haven't thought about in a while) and I love the closing paragraph:

"When you wait on the Lord, the time before marriage will be sweeter. Your spirit will be at peace, even with all the frustration of our relationally broken world. You'll be better prepared to get married and be married for His glory. And if marriage never happens, though thankfully that's statistically unlikely, your waiting won't have been wasted."

Just read this in Streams in the Desert (July 22nd devotion):

"Waiting in the sunshine of His love is what will ripen the soul for His blessing. Be assured that if God waits longer than you would wish, it is only to make the blessing doubly precious."
