Tribute to Connie Daher

*Deep Breath* When I was 9 years old, I met Connie Daher - it was field trip day at school and all the moms were standing in front of our class. I remember thinking she was so beautiful and had an easy smile. I had no idea how influential she would end up being in my life. Other than my own godly beautiful mom, Connie was a woman of faithful prayer and deep conviction who inspired me with her boldness for sharing Christ, speaking truth into people's lives, going above and beyond in generosity, hospitality and loving others. I remember going over to her house in high school to visit her daughter, my closest friend, and she would insist on making me a special drink or snack even if I'd said I just had dinner ("it's her Greek side", her husband Jim would tell me with a twinkle in his eye). My favorite memory of her this year was sitting on the edge of her bed pouring my heart out about the challenges of being single in thirties and she would joyfully encourage me to wait for God's best and she had faith for me (even when I was weary in hope) that God would bring a godly man into my life. I'm so thankful to have met this radiant-with-Christ woman and for the ways she inspired me. I was most honored when her daughter, Jamesy Daher , asked me to make a surprise gift - one of my artistic verses (the Lord will perfect that which concerns me, which is a special verse for her and part of her story). My heart hurts and I've wept at the loss of this great lady of faith, but I've also praised God for answering all of our prayers for complete healing. Knowing she is finally able to walk, dance, sing and rejoice in the presence of the greatest love of her life - Jesus - gives me unspeakable joy and peace. Please never miss an opportunity to tell those you love exactly why you love them so much. Every day you have with them is a gift. Love whole heartedly the way Christ loves us...the way Connie loved

One of my 2nd grade girls drew a pic of Jamesy on earth looking up to Heaven & Connie was dancing and singing with angels. That one broke my heart with it's sweetness. Kids are so good at loving others - even my friend who they have never met! But they love Jamesy & wanted to bless her bc I love her.
